China Becoming Communist
The Communist movement began in China in 1921. Mao Zedong was the leader of the Communist movement. The Communist were fight against the nationalist. The nationalist leader was Chiang Kai Shek. When Mac Zedong and the communist went on a six thousand mile march into the hills of Northern China to escape the nationalist is called the Long March.
There are three main events that occurred between 1946 to 1949 in the Communist Revolution in China. The first event occurred on June 26, 1947, when the Kuomintang Army launched the Liberation Area, marking the out set of the liberation war. The second event occurred on December 25, 1947, when Mao Zedong put forward the famous ten principles of military operations. The third event occurred in May 1949, when Chiang and remnants of his demoralized government fled to the island of Taiwan. After twenty years of struggles communists ruled by all main land China.
The Agrarian Reform Law of 1950 took away land from the rich landowners and divided the land among the people. The Great Leap Forward occurred in 1958, was Mao’s plan for a large collective farms, or communities.
China is a republic today led by the communist party. After Mao stepped down from the throne so to speak, His successors Deng Xiaoping and other leaders decided to improve the economy of China.
